Salam to all my lovely readers, I've missed you all, so sorry about the haitus I've been extremely busy with work family and moving to the states to be with my adorable husband Mr.O, anyways I'm here and since I've arrived it's been nothing but snow and even today i cant leave our apartment because of all the snow, nothing new there it was snowing in London as I was leaving for the airport Saturday morning. It was painful leaving my family and moving to a part of the states I've never been to before but most of all saying goodbye to my family was the hardest thing I've ever done, I kept on telling Waleed don't worry just think of it as me going on hoilday and I will be back in the summer Inshallah, the 7 hour 30 min flight was ok got through customs fine Alhamdulilah what made it alright and worth it all was knowing my wonderful husband was waiting for me on the other side, anways I don't wanna bore you guys with my sappy story I just wanted say a quick hi and let you guys know Im not dead or been kidnapped by aliens. Inshallah I will post soon once I get more setteled in.

P.S. I miss you Mohamed, Wafaa and Waleed. Mumzy and Dad.

Seriously stop with the strikes, i urgently need my packages delivered to me or else I'm gonna have a mental break down due to the fact you still haven't delivered my wedding ring sent from the U.S. to get it re sized, I'm beginning to wish i had done it myself over here, its not a joke anymore! You call yourselves royal mail aint nothing royal bout you...Release my stuff or else feel my wrath.

Guess what its my or shall I say me and my husband's one month anniversary woooo ho!

I know your all thinking she's over reacting...anyways if your wondering what the hell is a Monthiversary well it has alot of meanings the first is its similar to anniversary, but occurring every month. For people who are overzealous about a new relationship...i like that meaning expect the last part don't wanna look like and obsessed freak...the other meanings are not so nice so I'll leave that to your imagination...I know some of you sisters have been married for many years and I'm babbling about one mere month but I'm excited coz i feel like I've been married for longer...I know i know I'm amused easily go figure, i can confidently say I'm in wedded bliss, but my wonderful husband is in another country at the moment maybe that's a good thing i would probably drive him crazy with my madness haha, oh yeah and don't forget I'm still in my honeymoon phase...Imagine when its a year we've been married Inshallah.

Oh Allah, bless our marriage and let it be a means for us to become closer to You in love and devotion. Let it be a source of untold blessings, happiness and joy.

Oh Allah, let our marriage be a way for us and our families to enter Jannah.

Ya Allah, protect our marriage from the whisperings of Shaytan. Give us the strength to live together in justice, equity, love and, mercy.

My Lord, let this marriage bring untold blessings to us individually, to our families, and our children Inshallah.

My Creator, bless us with children who will be a source of great joy and happiness.

Oh Allah, give us the love which you had blessed the Prophet Muhammad, Allah's Peace and blessings be upon him, and Khadija, May Allah be pleased with her.

The Time Traveler's Wife

This month sees the long awaited release of the phenomenal The time traveler's wife film...I don't know if you've read the book but i did and its a very rare book, the author who is Audrey Niffenegger must be very proud because you will never come across a story like this...Though i waited 5 years for the film to be released it took me by surprise when i saw the previews at the cinema when i went last month to see Harry Potter and the Half blood Prince with my husband, little brother and sister...When i read this book i immediately feel in love with it and I recommended it to anyone and trust me when I say you will not be disappointed.

The international bestseller is about an extraordinary love story of Clare and Henry who met when Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six, and were married when Clare was twenty-two and Henry thirty. Impossible but true, because Henry suffers from a rare condition where his genetic clock periodically resets and he finds himself pulled suddenly into his past or future. In the face of this force they can neither prevent nor control, Henry and Clare struggle to lead normal lives is both intensely moving and entirely unforgettable.

Most of the filming for The Time Traveler's Wife had wrapped in 2007, but there was one more scene to shoot and Bana's shaved head did not match his look in other scenes, he had to shave his head for a different role, apparently for Star Trek, and also an additional scene needed to be filmed in a meadow, which did not look the same as it had the first time the scene had been filmed there. In the movie Henry is played by Eric Bana and Clare is of course played by Rachel McAdams I'm so excited i cant wait to see it because Eric is a seriously good actor and I love his Australian accent and Rachel is just adorable and is just as good. The film is released on August 14 in London so I will be going with lil sis since husband has gone back to VA...by the way I've got her hooked on it too, shes reading the book as i type:)will be back to tell you all about it.

I've been meaning post something on here and i kinda feel bad coz i feel like I've been neglecting this blog for way too long...So before you all get angry at me and throw shoes or something I haven't been abducted by aliens and no Mr. O hasn't kidnapped me yet... Just been so busy with things.

Fasting on the Day of Arafah

A little reminder for those that are fasting today and any non - Muslims about the importance of fasting on the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah.

Abû Hafsah, may Allâh be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet, upon whom be peace, said:
"Fasting on the day of 'Arafah absolves the sins for two years: the previous year and the coming year, and fasting on 'ashûra, (the tenth day of Muharram) atones for the sins of previous years." [Reported by all except al-Bukhârî and Tirmidhî]

There are some reports that fasting is prohibited on the day of 'Arafah. However, it must be understood that this refers to a person performing the hajj. If a person is on the hajj, there is no fast for him or her on the day of 'Arafah. That is undoubtedly a blessing for him because of the hardships of the pilgrimage. In a saying reported by Umm al-Fadl, may Allâh be pleased with her.

"The companions doubted whether the Prophet was fasting on 'Arafah or not. She decided to prove to them that he was not, so she said, 'I sent to him milk, which he drank while he was delivering the khutbah (sermon) on 'Arafah.' " [Recorded by al-Bukhârî].

From the Fajr of the 9th of Dhul Hijja up to the Asr prayer of the 13th, it is obligatory on each Muslim to recite the Takbir of Tashriq in the following words:

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
La illaha illallahu, Wallahu Akabr,
Allahu Akbar wa Lillahillhamd.

I hope those of us that are fasting today that Allah the most magnificent and most merciful accepts our fast and good deeds. Ameen.
